Pickleball venues in Queensland continue to be delivered across a mix of facility types, with tennis facilities (27%) and gyms (26%) accounting for more than half of current supply. This reflects the sport’s early growth phase, where existing infrastructure has played a key role in meeting demand.
Looking ahead, we anticipate a continued rise in dedicated pickleball venues, supported by strong year-on-year participation growth. As this trend accelerates, the overall share of repurposed facilities is expected to decline, with operators increasingly prioritising purpose-built venues to support programming, capacity and long-term scalability.
